Elisa J. Olson, Soprano, originally hails from the beaches of Santa Cruz, California but has lived and worked in New York City, Washington D.C., North Dakota, Minnesota and now resides in Hawaii. She holds a Bachelor of Music in education from the University of North Dakota, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has studied under the expertise of Maria Williams Kennedy in the Bel Canto style of classical singing, as well as, studying with international recording artist and jazz singer, Rocio Guitard.  In addition to her training in classical and Jazz music, Elisa has studied musical theater vocal styling and has be lauded as an excellent belter with a seamless "mix". She has a vast background in both vocal performance and musical theater and is here to help you with any and all of your vocal goals.  

Elisa has a well rounded background in music education and the arts.  She has worked as a high school and middle school choral director, has taught classroom music in k-6 and has been a private voice teacher for over 13 years, teaching in four different states. Elisa ran a prominent children’s theater in the Silicon Valley, in California where she was responsible for 14 shows per year. She also worked on the East Coast in both Washington D.C. and New York City in professional theater. During her stint on the East Coast, Elisa worked for the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., where she had the honor of working a special performance at the White House in 2007. Prior to working for the Kennedy Center, Elisa was the Production Stage Manager for 4 national tours based out of New York. She worked as a Production Manager and Production Stage Manager in California for numerous regional theaters, and now currently runs the Leeward Theatre in Pearl City, HI. Aside from her technical background, Elisa has an extensive background in performance.  She has performed as a guest artists with the Grand Forks Symphony, Empire Arts Center as “Woman 1” in Songs For A New World and she was a featured soloist in a special performance of The Beck Song Project. Some of a her other performing credits are: Woman 1 in, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!, Maria in West Side Story, Frenchy in Grease, Brenda in Pajama Game, and Carrie Pipperidge in Carousel, just to name a few.
